The 10th annual Run Wild Cross
Country Festival
August 27, 2011
Sesqui State Park, Columbia, SC

The Run Wild Cross Country Festival is a fund-raising event planned by the Richland Northeast High School Cross Country Teams. On the Tour de Columbia circuit, the Open 5K is one of very few events completely run on unpaved roads and trails. The all off-road format will offer runners a unique recreational opportunity presently unavailable in South Carolina. Once again, the event will include the 5th annual High School Invitational. This format will bring adult and high school runners together in one venue.  Sesqui Centennial State Park offers a challenging course with a mix of dirt roads, grassy sections and single track trails.  Kid's Fun Runs will be included again this year. The Run Wild 5K is part of a five race trail series called the Carolina Trail Championship Series. Our other event, the Resolution Run 10K is a part of this series. For more information on either the series on the Resolution Run 10K, click on the links to the left. 2011 Online Registration brought to you by StrictlyRunning.com

This year we will be collecting shoes in partnership with Rerun Shoes, an organization that sends shoes to African villages, where microbusiness owners refurbish the shoes and sell them at reasonable prices to villagers. This sustainable business solves both an environmental problem and an economic one. Please visit their website @ rerunshoes.com to learn what shoes we can accept and start cleaning out your closets!
